Creative Retreat Day with Rev Claire Cullingworth
Labyrinths have been used as an aid to prayer and meditation for well over a thousand years. Come and learn how to make a simple hand-held labyrinth from fabric, accompanied by a relaxed conversation. All backgrounds and viewpoints welcome, as we chat about what our journeys through life look like and what helps us to pray. You can use very simple sewing skills to make these labyrinths, (even if you haven’t sewn since primary school). If you’ve already got some sewing experience, you can have a go at a more challenging version.
Revd Claire Cullingworth is a priest in Durham Diocese. She has a passion for mending clothes in creative (and often colourful) ways, and for finding as many ways as possible to re-use unwanted or unloved fabric. She is co-founder of the Creative-ish online community, which encourages people to explore life and faith in all sorts of non-traditional ways.
