This is a comment article by the Revd Giles Fraser published in the Guardian Friday 21st August 2015 following the death of Cilla Black. It isn’t about what you might believe about the ‘after-life’ as much as a reflection on how a religious funeral service offers a place of equality for all in a way a similar secular ceremony may not… This may not be appropriate to this unit – it does ask some subtly complex questions – but it might provoke some reflection by teachers into how deeply they approach this topic?
