Too often creation is looked at in isolation from the greater Christian picture. In doing it can be reduced to the Genesis story and is subsequently impoverished and limited…
Sometimes teachers are not aware of how the Christian concepts interlink to give a whole and balanced view that informs and underpins Christian theology and practice.
This article by Jacob Sherman suggests that such an understanding of creation can too easily miss the point and that, without connecting creation to the triune God it cannot be really understood. His opne page attempt to put creation into it’s proer place is challenging but well written article. It is important that teachers are aware of this ‘joined up’ thinking if they are to understand why stewardship of the world, for many Christians, is about an ongoing, living and imperative relationship with God.
