Modern Pagans are people who have made a positive choice to follow a path of individual spiritual growth that is in harmony with the Earth upon which we live. Many people have become aware of a spiritual void in their lives, and have discovered, in Paganism, a religion of joy and love, which allows self-expression, but also encourages social and environmental responsibility. Pagans are drawn from all walks of life, and at the time of writing, members of the Pagan Federation include scientists, solicitors, health care professionals, teachers, farmers, information technology specialists, industrial relation specialists, graphic designers, engineers, members of the Defence Force, Project Managers, members of the Public Service, Librarians, and Psychologists, to name but a few. The one thing they all have in common is a desire to follow a spiritual path which is in harmony with the Earth, and which encourages self-discovery, and individual responsibility. The Pagan Federation is continually active in bringing Pagans together and to promote and educate about Paganism in the wider community.
The Aims and Objectives of the Pagan Federation as set out in the Constitution are:
1. To seek to support all Pagans in their personal and public life, to help ensure that they have the same rights as the followers of other beliefs and members of other religions
2. To promote a positive profile for Pagans and Paganism and to provide information on Pagan paths and beliefs to the media, official bodies and the greater community
3. To facilitate effective communication, education and dialogue within and between Pagan communities and with non-Pagans, through publications and events.
The District Manager, Suzanne White, is happy to give a presentation on Paganism to schools, colleges and other interested groups for which we ask travel expenses only are met.. We offer various workshops and courses on Paganism and Pagan related subjects, and there are information packs available on paganism and various paths within Paganism.
Further contacts for this faith can be found in the BT Phone Book under "Places of Worship - mixed" and in the Yellow Pages under "Places of Worship".
