This page is a work in progress and will eventually include details of faith and ethnic-community related burial sites from all across the region.
Church yards, cemeteries, and other burial sites can provide a fascinating insight into the history, customs and beliefs of the cultures represented in therein.
A recent Archdeacons' Briefing in the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle covered the subject of the assorted wildlife within the churchyards of the area.

Because the cemetery is cared for by the local authority, it is not necessary to arrange a visit provided the visit is undertaken during normal opening hours (these are daylight hours, which are obviously longer during Summer than Winter).
